About Our School

WELCOME TO INDEPENDENCE HIGH SCHOOL!
As a member of the renowned Rio Rancho Public School district, Independence High School PROUDLY serves students who benefit from smaller classrooms with direct instruction.  This type of environment is ideal for many students to thrive to their fullest potential, often soaring to heights they have never seen before.  While we receive the bulk of our students from referrals made by the District's other high schools, we also will conduct enrollment interviews with students who have come to outside the aforementioned referral process.  At a minimum, with very rare exception, students coming to Independence High School for consideration must be at least 16 years of age and bring with them 6 high school credits.
