Jobs for America’s Graduates, or JAG, is a school-to-career program that has been implemented in 1,000 high schools, colleges and middle schools across the USA. The mission of JAG is to keep young people in school through graduation and provide work-based learning experiences that will lead to career advancement opportunities or to enroll in a post-secondary institution than can lead to a rewarding career and a more positive life experience. The JAG model provides employability skills training; adult mentoring, guidance and counseling, leadership development, placement services and a 12-month follow up after graduation.

The JAG program helps the student to become involved in community service and is responsible for bringing many community service projects to Independence High School.
